The judges all participated in a panel for the 2012 Summer TCA Tour on Monday (July 23) and shared some info about the upcoming season.

Simon revealed that there will be two hosts next season, who will be revealed next month. There will also be special guests just like last year.

The judges are also optimistic that the groups category will fare better than last year, during which they were all voted off in the first few weeks.

Jordana also hit up the TCA’s for her upcoming television show The Mob Doctor!

On the new show, Jordana‘s character becomes indebted to the mob, and must moonlight as a mob doctor, as well as a hospital surgeon.

On the types of roles he plays in films: “For me, I've never really been that confident in my abilities as a shape-changer. There are some actors who can really transform themselves and it can be really breathtaking. For me, I have never really had that ability, and one of the things that I try to do is to be in lots of different kinds of films.”

On his four children: “I try not to be desperate at all with anything with the kids. Having four of them you see how little control you have. When I had my first [with ex-wife Uma Thurman], I thought my parenting was so important but when you have four of them you realize human beings are so completely themselves, they are so unique unto themselves, that it doesn't have that much to do with you. I mean obviously you want to create a situation where they're healthy and have a good education. But apart from that you don't have any control really about whether they're literary or whether they're interested in sports.”

On fame: “I'm mostly left alone. Mostly it's a positive. But I'm not Elvis Presley, I'm not Tom Cruise. There's another level people aspire to but I think it's a giant trick. I don't think its worth aspiring for. I'm very happy with what I have.”

The Dark Knight Rises brought the crowds to the theaters and broke records on a weekend marked by tragedy.

The final installment of the Batman trilogy starring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway brought in $160.9 million, the largest opening weekend for a 2D film ever. Experts say that the Aurora shootings at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises could have caused a $10-20 million drop in grosses, though its impossible to peg the exact amount, according to THR.

The major movie studios did not report their weekend movie grosses until this afternoon out of respect for the victims of the tragedy.

Ice Age: Continental Drift fell to second place in its sophomore weekend with $20.4 million.

Rounding out the top five were Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone‘s The Amazing Spider-Man with $10.9 million, Mark Wahlberg‘s Ted with $10 million, and Brave with $6 million.
