Bridal budget

Q: I'm getting married next May, and I've read that it's good to start dress shopping 10-9 months before the date. I am nervous to go the bridal boutique route because of price. Is there a way to stay under or around $1000 (not including alterations) dress budget at the shops in the DC area?

A: First off, congrats on your engagement! Second, don't be nervous. Bridal boutiques in the DC Area often have killer sample sales that offer deeply discounted designer gowns. Just be sure to check their event schedules for details and dates.
